I'm moving to uni (Southampton Solent) tomorrow. And do you know what, I haven't finished packing.
I've done my clothes, well more or less. I forgot to put my socks in the suitcase and shoes. Well my trainers and heels, my new shoes I remembered.
I've sorted out my towels and tea towels and bed stuff. Well... sort of. I haven't got my pillows sorted out or my furry underblanket thingy or the cover sheet thing for one of the sets. But I'll sort that in the morning.
I've got most of the kitchen stuff sorted, like some food, knives, saucepans. Just washed the cutlery, have to nick some bowls and glasses before I leave.
Makeup, toiletries, stationary, Teddy (my polar bear!), Turdle (my Squirt cushion) and Brian (the evil name my sister gave my laptop) are to be sorted out tomorrow/tonight.
And I've probably forgot about a million and one things.
Packing is like my worst nightmare, well one of them anyway. But at least I went through all my clothes and chucked some away.
The most annoying thing about leaving is the fact that I have to sort everything out so my Mother can't destroy it or move it when I'm not here. Cause she will do that if given the chance.
It's only really sinking in now that I'm actually moving far away (well not really that far..) to a new place where I don't know anyone. I may have to actually be nice to people.
I just hope that the lift is working tomorrow, cause seriously, I can't imagine how I'm going to lug that bastard of a suitcase (which I could live in with a friend, it's that big) up to the fourth floor otherwise. I think I'll cry!!

My beautiful new laptop arrived today. Now I just have to think of a nice name for it.
I've been buying more fun things for Uni, this time slightly more interesting (as in not like tin openers, towels or saucepans...which I haven't got yet..) I bought a very exciting lighted make up mirror. It'll match my hair dryer. How very thrilling.
I've been thinking about starting to pack, as I probably should have started last week. What will end up happening is that I'll start on Friday, get completely stressed out and moody about it on Saturday, then have to wake up early to finish packing on Sunday.
At least there will be Freshers' Fortnight to amuse myself with.

Neil
Yes, I am at university now you wonderful boy you
Its not too bad. The shower rooms a bit scuzzy though, and I really wish I'd gone en-suite now. Haven't got around to really eating properly yet. Made a couple of 'aquaintances' but not any good friends yet, got a few phone numbers though. My course hasn't even started yet, and I gotta do a timed essay tomorrow! Argh! All good fun

Sounds groovy Neil, let us know how NZ goes. Why don't you pop over to Oz while your there!
I am not amused one bit by the excessive money spent on practical things. I mean not only have I got to get general bits and bobs for living but I was a sent a long list for equipment which is outrageous! £129.99 for a technical drawing board!?!? BASTARDS!

I'm off on the 24th maybe the 25th.
This buying stuff for uni is pants. I mean its nice that lots of money is being spent on me, but its all on practical non exciting things like scissors, plug adaptors, and kitchen stuff. I want clothes and shoes and handbags and other pretty things. Having said that I hate most of the clothes that are in style at the moment...I mean seriously, gypsy skirts. You know they are bad when you see grannies wearing them (which I have).
Anyway, I'm not up to anything exciting and I've been eating too many oreos. Well not really, you can never have enough oreos, but too many as in I only have a few left which is upsetting.
Anyway I'll stop now. I'm just rambling.
